- Swashbucklers has 7 Playable Ships, 6 Currently obtainable in survival
- The ships in Swashbucklers are early - mid game content, they are relatively cheap only requiring some wood, wool and iron, the weaponised ships will require deeper blocks like Deepslate however, the 6 base ships are as follows
- - The Swashbuckler (promotional image has not been modelled yet)
- - The Raft (promotional image has not been modelled yet)
- - The Upgraded Swashbuckler (promotional image has not been modelled yet)
- - The Pirate Cutter (promotional image has not been modelled yet)
- Future plans for swashbucklers includes much more complex and later game ships such as
- - The Ironclad
- - The Galleon
- - The War Galleon
- - The Junk
- - the Corvette
- - The Paddle Steam Corvette
- - the Steam Corvette
- Of these additional 7 ships only the steam corvette has been modelled so far, it is spawn-able in-game using commands or a creative only item
- The ships are very simple in design and very simple in practice, the player can stand on the ships where the hitbox extends, it won't fully cover the ships deck however as entity hitboxes can only be cubes, Ships such as the Cutter onward have multiple entity setups to get around this, the cutter has 4 entities to it, the base (rear lower hitbox where captain sits, this is collide-able), the forward hitbox(this extends the deck to be fully walkable) the sail hitbox(when this gets destroyed the sails visually tear and the ship now slows down), and the extra player seat.
- The ships are controlled with a basic WASD, and the player sitting in the "base" entity captains the ship.
- Ship Specifics
- Swashbuckler
- Upgraded Swashbuckler
- The Raft
- The Cutter
- The Cutter is a high capacity and swift ship with multiple seats for you and your friend! it is not weaponised so be prepared to jump ship if need be!
- The Cutter has a multiple entity setup which means it has multiple hitboxes with different purposes, if the sail is hit it will rip and tear it slowing the ship down! The cutter also has visual damage stages with the sails being visually destroyed when they are broken! The cutter can be picked up with the spanner but it will drop all of its inventory when doing so.
- The Cutter is a great way to transport a lot of goods over a very long distance as it is also relatively fast, and has a great defence having over 100 total Health! however the base cutter does not boast impressive offensive capabilities as it is unarmed, it is purely a merchant ship
- The Weaponised Cutter
- The Weaponised Cutter is an intimidating war ship, it boasts the impressive inventory of the Cutter mixed with 2 cannons and a mortar, it is a swift ship sharing the same speed as the Cutter!
- To use the cannons you press G for left cannons, J for right cannons and H to fire the mortar, the mortar has a higher vertical fire angle so it can travel longer distances! the side cannons do not grief terrain but the mortar is explosive and can destroy terrain!
- The war cutter also shares the multi-entity setup of the cutter, if the sails get shot then you lose movement speed, and multiple players can sit in the ship!
- The Weaponised Cutter is perfect if your server has choppy waters! it has a great defence having more combined health than the normal Cutter while also being Weaponised! It will one shot the raft and 2 shot the swashbucklers, a ship fit for an armada!
- The Pirate Cutter
- The Pirate Cutter is a variant of the Cutter with black sails and a skull and cross bones on it, functionally it is identical to the Cutter but this is the ship that signals that you are a hostile player, upon getting a pirate cutter you recieve 1 of 2 achievements, one is if you craft it, the other is if you steal it from naturally spawning pirate entities
- The Corvette
- The Corvette is the largest ship in swashbucklers as it is an impressive 17 blocks long and 21 blocks tall! It is a merchant ship similar to the cutter and is therefore not weaponised, however it does have 3 Storage compartments and 3 player seats! the ship is the same speed as the normal swashbuckler and is the tankiest ship in the mod, it has 2 damage stages and a half sunken state before it fully sinks, that makes for a grand total of nearly 500 health! it is incredibly hard to defeat, but at the expense of weaponry.
- The Corvette trumps every other ship in size and storage, however it is a steamship meaning it will need to be fuelled by coal

Ship Specifics
Swashbuckler
The Swashbuckler is a very simple boat, requiring a small hull and mast for crafting, see the Crafting Recipes page for the recipes, it can seat one and has no weapons or unique ability, it has a small amount of health(will die to 1 or 2 cannon shots), it is the second fastest ship in the mod, with only the upgraded one beating it in speed.
Upgraded Swashbuckler
This is an upgraded swashbuckler, it has a better sail, storage and a cannon, it is the fastest boat in the mod thanks to its sharp design and small size, it can seat one and has a weapon that can be fired, it uses cannonballs that will be taken from the players inventory, it also requires a hand cannon in the crafting recipe which requires Deepslate.
The Raft
The raft is a cheap, slow, but very useful ship, the raft has a large inventory at a cheap price, requiring 2 barrels, 6 logs and a mast, it is an efficient way to transport goods early game, especially if you have a lot of rivers and oceans between bases, the raft is also one of the weakest ships in the mod, sinking to one shot from a cannonball
The Cutter
The Cutter is a high capacity and swift ship with multiple seats for you and your friend! it is not weaponised so be prepared to jump ship if need be!
The Cutter has a multiple entity setup which means it has multiple hitboxes with different purposes, if the sail is hit it will rip and tear it slowing the ship down! As of currently pirate entities are not spawning, the AI is not complete
The Corvette
The information stated here is as if the ship was complete, the corvette is incomplete and not yet available in survival, it lacks the features stated here and is summoned with the command "/summon hpm:corvette_steamship"
